More and more people are becoming concerned about the protection and care of the environment. By choosing to stay in the Hotel Caravel you can rest assured that many measures have been taken to ensure you enjoy your stay in great comfort and that your hotel abides to the strictest rules of environmental care.

Different criteria were set up in our Green scheme, aimed at saving water and electricity, using eco-friendly cleaning agents, sorting waste for recycling and motivating staff towards increased environmental awareness. The scheme includes non-smoking rooms as well as the provision for organic and low-fat food in the restaurants. Non-compulsory measures include the composting of green waste and restriction of pesticides outdoors.

Saving Energy:
All rooms have a key that switch off all electrical equipment when the room is empty. More than 50% of our light bulbs are Classe A, computers and coping machine switch off after one hour of non use. In all rooms there are visible signs concerning towels saving.
Food and Beverage:
At breakfast since several years we use to serve jam, honey and yogurt in porcelain and not anymore in single dose packages of plastic. No plastic plates and cups are used in all areas of the Hotel, except the use of plastic cups used by the pool.

Indoor Environment:
All rooms are non smoking and all new rooms (more than 80%) that have been rebuilt in the last 3 years have saving energy windows and between each room have been placed panels to reduce the temperature range.
